   A: One in five children has special needs. Experts agree that playdates are important for all children, especially those with special needs. Learning to play with other children your child's own age is critical to his or her development.
   
   
5. Q: How secure is the website?
   A: As parents we identify with you and recognize that your children are your most sacred treasure. We understand that their security is your highest priority. Accordingly, there are three levels of security in place on this website. First, each Full Member is subject to a screening process to protect other Full Members from suspicious individuals and unwanted or unlawful behavior. Second, members are identified by member number only having a minimum level of profile information available. Third, before making a playdate you'll have the opportunity to speak with the other member directly. The service provided by this site is intended to be the first step in finding playdates for your children and in getting to know other parents and caregivers of young children. You are ultimately responsible for your child's safety and for making sure that the people who are around your children are people you like and trust and who have your child's best interest in mind. Use the private members-only email system as a way to gain more information about a member before making a playdate. Email communications are made through an anonymous members-only email system. Once you've made initial contact via email, the next step would be to contact the member via telephone so you can talk and set up a play date. Use your instincts and common sense when selecting members for playdates. If you follow these guidelines, you'll have successful playdates from the start.
