Little Chefs

Cooking with your kids is a great way to spice up an afternoon. Creating fun things to eat with your children and their friends during playdates gives everyone a chance to express themselves.

Find new recipies each month to help you get cooking with your children. Submit your little chef's favorite recipe and you may find it as one of the next recipes of the month! Why play bake when you can get in there and create a snack or meal during your playdate!

You'll have fun cooking with your child and his or her friend on a playdate with fun and easy recipes you can all prepare together. One of our favorite recipes is Smiley Cheese Toast.

You'll need:
  • a block of cheddar cheese (sharp or mild)
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 4 teaspoons of olive oil, butter, or margarine
Spread 1 teaspoon of olive oil, butter or margarine on each slice of bread, slice cheese and create a funny face. Place the cheese on top of the bread, broil for 4 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is slightly brown. Place bread directly on the oven rack for crispy bottoms. For soft bottoms, use foil. Enjoy!
